Integrity Institute Submits Response to Ofcom’s Consultation on Protecting Children from Harms Online

On July 17th, 2024, the Integrity Institute submitted a comprehensive response to Ofcom's Consultation on Protecting Children from Harms Online, pertaining to recommendations for platforms to implement relating to protecting children under the Online Safety Act.

Built upon the expertise of our community, our submission highlights risks of age assurance, a focus on recommendation systems, support tools and controls provided for children, important content areas for consideration and other best practices such as privacy by default. We provide a necessary platform and technical perspective for the policy proposals and highlight our community of integrity professionals with deep child safety experience.

Thank you to our community members who got involved. We look forward to participating in Ofcom’s third and final consultation on transparency later this year.
